Sims 3 wall mounted speakers do nothing.

In the sims 2 speakers are wall mounted and are always considered to be on. Is there a mod that synchronizes all wall mounted speakers. Maybe with an option to turn off synchronization at anytime too. These objects cost 400 and take up of 1x1 grid space.
